Therapeutic Massage Coming Soon!
Guided by Mary Szegda, Guild-Certified Feldenkrais® Practitioner and Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist, integrating over 20 years of experience in somatic and movement-based practice.
The somatic approach honors that physical, cognitive, and emotional experiences are intertwined. When you understand how to access and support all aspects of the human experience, an amazing thing happens: the innate healing response unfolds. By gently supporting the body, mind, and emotions—without forcing any single avenue—the process becomes easier. This work is subtle, well-paced, and precise, allowing your system to return to balance and function more smoothly.
Sessions are fully clothed and tailored to your needs. They may involve gentle guided movement, focused attention, meditative-like activities, conversation, creative expression, and, when appropriate, hands-on support. Every element is designed to help your system release tension, improve function, and restore balance.
This work supports anyone experiencing tension, pain, limited mobility, or stress, as well as those seeking to improve posture, resilience, and overall well-being. It is particularly valuable for individuals navigating chronic pain, autoimmune conditions, functional neurological challenges, dysautonomia, mild TBI, or recovery from injury.
It is also highly valuable for professionals, students of somatics, or anyone on a deliberate healing path—people who want to engage body and mind in a practical, methodical way. Principles that overlap trauma therapy mbe highlighted in movement, mindful attention, or creative practices to bring a greater embodied understanding of that principle.
You’ll experience patterns and releases in your body while receiving clear verbal guidance to make sense of it all. This approach helps translate theory into felt, embodied understanding. Many of the techniques I use have a clear lineage, which I can trace, giving context and depth to the practice.
